Notes and Caveats

Promissor: applying planet/point

iPhone: Prom.

Significator: stationary planet/point

iPhone: Signif.

Terms: if Terms is selected (ie ticked) as a promissor – see above, no other promissor is allowed. Also Asc and IC should be the only Significators selected. Conjunction is the aspect that should be selected. See below for video. Egyptian Terms used in all examples.

if the results are sorted Print Preview (icon bottom right) shows the sorted results.

The last Primary Directions operation (provided the Calculation button is tapped) is automatically saved to the AC database so that on returning to use Primary Directions again the last operation is reloaded.

Calculating the Primary Directions – the Calculate/Calculated button

Note that the tick in the Calculate button only appears after the primary directions have been calculated and displayed ie the button has been tapped. The Calculate button text changes to Calculated and a tick appears. Tapping on the Key or Lat choices or Promissor or Significator or Aspects or D/C table records removes the Calculated button tick and changes the Calculated button text to Calculate.

Basically, changes to anything that might alter/affect the calculated results removes the Calculated tick and changes the text to Calculate. Tap the button again to re-calculate your choices. Please see video below.

Please note that the Tropical zodiac is the default setting when first installing AC on your iPad. If you have no intention of using the sidereal option there is no need to do anything. Please continue as usual.

This is a chart setting so that if a chart is created or edited (and saved) the zodiac will either be Tropical or Sidereal depending on the setting. Tropical is the default, which is mostly used in Europe/USA. The sidereal option is used for Vedic charts – mostly used in India, but not exclusively. Please note that the last two sentences do not reflect the complicated/contentious choice of a zodiac by astrologers!

• Once this setting is changed eg to Sidereal, all charts created will be for the Sidereal zodiac.
• All charts incl Tropical charts edited and saved will then be Sidereal.

To change the currently viewed chart to sidereal:

1. Tap Sidereal on the Zodiac Settings – see screenshot above. Exit settings.
2. Go to Options and tap Edit Chart, and then tap Save – see screenshots below. All done.

if you haven’t named your charts either tropical or sidereal as in the above chart which is named Albert Einstein – Sidereal, how to recognise if a chart is tropical or sidereal?

Look to the top right, if it doesn’t say Tropical then it’s Sidereal. You’ll see an ayanamsha if it’s sidereal. In this case Fagan/Bradley.

Filter Your Charts

Tap All, Tropical or Sidereal and tap away on the chart area to dismiss the Filter Chart record dialog. The Chart record table will then be updated with your choice of filter.

The Filter Chart Records setting does not apply to the Provided Charts table listing.

CIT’s for BTC are provided for the date range Dec 7th 2017 to June 13th 2018 – automatically provided on AC install or update. These dates were use by the author to produce the analysis seen below, Analysis of BTC. Each date may be deleted by swiping left as it is quite possible that these dates do not match your Aspect Hits. See below: Adding a CIT and Analysis menu icons

CIT = Change in Trend

Requirements: Aspect Hit data, and CIT data.

Theory: Using the BTC chart as an example. Once a list of AC Aspect Hits is generated for the BTC natal chart a simple analysis can be made to see if these Aspect Hits coincide with significant CIT’s in the BTC price.

Using the AC BTC chart, dates can be added to the CIT table were there is a significant CIT – long-press over a CIT and press the + icon.

Procedure: Using Aspect Hits data produce some simple stats. For example Bitcoin exact aspects to the Radix and compare these dates to the actual associated Changes in Trend (CIT) date of the Bitcoin price.

Analysis of BTC

To add a CIT date to the CIT table – select CIT’s in the Aspect Hit date range

1. Long-press over the financial chart and select an actual CIT date to compare with an associated Aspect Hit date. Release long-press.
2. Tap the + button icon. The CIT Date table is shown above the financial chart and the date is added to the table. The time is ignored.
3. Continue until the number of actual CIT dates is the same number as the possible associated Aspect Hit dates
4. View the results in the Analysis form. The CIT dates will always be shown in date order.

When adding dates duplicate dates are ignored. You can swipe to delete a date record.

Ensure that the selected CIT and Selected Aspect Hit totals are the same.

Basic and Simple Analysis

Please note this is a basic and simple analysis. Various factors are not taken into account. Such as: is the CIT significant? Are there two aspects happening at the same time that seemingly interfere with each other and cause the CIT to be less significant that could be hoped for.

However, I believe that the analysis does give a broad indication of the effectiveness of using Transits to the BTC radix to signify a change in trend (before it happens). This may not apply to other financial instruments.
