Draconic charts can be used with transits, sec. prog., and solar arcs. Not available for returns, synastry, Gauquelin, pre-natal syzygy, Draconic to standard natal. For example a progressed Draconic chart is not available as part of a bi-wheel to aspect a standard natal/radix chart. A Draconic natal/radix chart can be part of a bi-wheel configuration but the outer wheel is never Draconic. Declinations are not handled.

Can be used with Aspect Hits.

Eclipse when shown in the original natal/radix chart are not included in the calculations for a Draconic chart, Their positions do not change. Fixed star aspects are calculated for the Draconic planetary/point positions,

Solar charts work with the Moon’s True node

Solar charts: Sun on the Asc. For Your Charts and Provided Charts. Not available for Sidereal (please switch off the Solar Charts option) or Heliocentric charts (the Sun isn’t shown for Helio charts).

Use with Transits, Secondary Progressions, and Solar Arc bi-wheels.

Default is off for Solar Charts. Solar Charts setting is saved.

Animated GIF – how to select a Solar natal chart

1. Scroll the Default Settings table upwards. The Solar Charts menu option is at the bottom.
2. Tap Solar Charts – the chart is updated immediately. A small tick appears next to the menu option.
3. To revert back to the original Sun’s position – tap again. The small tick next to the menu option is removed.

Solar Charts

Note that Solar Charts can be invoked (as shown in the animated GIF above) when one of the first four menu options are selected – Natal, Transit, Secondary Progressions, and Solar Arc Directions. When Return charts (Solar or Lunar) are selected the Sun’s original position is always used. Similarly for Profections, Antiscia, Synastry and Pre-Natal Syzygy charts.

Secondary Progressions, and Solar Arc bi-wheels.

The outer wheel Sun is the progressed (or directed) Sun using the original natal position value. The Sun is shown in the natal chart with new value of the natal ascendant.

Transit, Secondary Progressions, and Solar Arc single wheels.

A single wheel Transit chart will show Sun’s current position – not one that is the same as the Asc. For aspects to the new Solar position please change to a bi-wheel.

For Secondary Progressions, and Solar Arc single wheel charts the sun’s position is the progressed or directed position using the original position of the Sun. For aspects to the new Solar natal position please change to a bi-wheel.

Note:

The calculations for parts such as part of fortune remain unchanged.

The day and hour Lords remain the same.

The speculum shows the Solar charts Sun’s position.

If the North Node and South Node is selected to be displayed in a chart you may want to disable the aspects to the South Node as shown in the Aspect table and lists such as the Speculum.

Assuming that the South and North Node is selected as in the Displayed Planets table (1st screenshot). And the option to show South node aspects in the aspect table is selected (2nd screenshot):

This chart displays both North and South Nodes. The Aspect table shows aspects to the North and/or South Node if All is selected.
