Import a CSV financial data file (using iOS Files.app) in the format:

Date,Open,High,Low,Close,Volume

The date must be in the format YYYY-MM-DD. Often technically referred to as yyyy-MM-dd.

No spaces after or before commas.

Data can be imported from your iPad, external drive, iCloud etc. Crypto, Financial.

How does this work?

When selecting the heliocentric setting (see below – Settings) all saved charts, with some exceptions can be viewed as heliocentric charts.

Creating Charts

No difference. Just create charts as before. Date, time, location etc are saved as usual and the chart is then calculated, when viewed, according to the Geo/Helio setting.

Ingress charts

Viewing a saved geocentric Ingress chart will not show the planetary ingress heliocentrically at 00:00:00 (hours:mins:secs).

To view a planet ingress heliocentrically you must create the chart when the heliocentric setting is selected. See below.

Missing CIT aspects

it can be seen from the above post that not all significant CIT’s have a corresponding/associated aspect to the radix. It was found that aspects to the radical BTC MC did not seem to be associated with any significant hits. However, this article will show that this is not the case and that aspects the MC are possibly significant. Or at least to a point near the current MC long position.

The question is: what are these supposed longitude positions of a planet that aspects these CIT’s? How are they found?

It may be possible that that the Asc and MC are inaccurate and the Missing CIT Aspect procedure/form may help to find the true positions of these points. Thus, this is a rectification method.

A suitable procedure would be as follows:

Note only transiting aspects to the radix are used to calculate the aspect hits in this example as was shown in the AC blog post.

1. Find the most significant transiting aspecting planet to BTC (Saturn)
2. Assign missing aspect dates – see Adding a Missing CIT Date menu icon
3. Calculate Saturn’s (and other planets) position to CIT dates that do not have a transiting aspect from any planet (Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, Pluto) to the BTC radix. ie use the Missing CIT Aspect Date table to do this.

4. Review the data to see if there are (multiple similar) longitudinal positions of Saturn (and other planets) that might indicate a point that that is significant. Please see the screenshot below.

For instance by reviewing the results of the calculation it may be that Saturn’s (and Neptune) longitudinal position for different CIT dates are at 12 degrees 02 minutes. This may indicate a sensitive degree that is associated with particular point, in this case the radical MC. It may be that there are other sensitive degree positions but they may not be so easily associated with a particular point such as the Asc or MC.

The BTC chart should then be adjusted. Further test should be applied and the chart should be reviewed for the accuracy of the new point(s).

A new table for the added Missing CIT dates is provided. Records are identified by the stock or crypto currency.

Missing CIT aspect dates for BTC are provided for the date range February 25th, 2014 – July 29th, 2018 – automatically provided on AC install or update.

Personal points such as the Asc, MC etc are not calculated for transits because the time used always the natal UTC time.

An Aspect Hit date must NOT be more that three days greater or less than the associated/matching CIT date.

Note that currently (AC ver 3.40) the stock data API calls do not work due to a change at the API end point. A fix is on its way although due to the restrictions now imposed by the provider it’s hardly worth fixing!

This is because AC is limited to 25 api calls per day for stock data. Going over this limit the data cannot be shown. Also the stock data returns only the latest 100 data points which is useless for astrology. Fortunately no limitation on calls for Crypto.

When I initially implemented the stock data routine the output was very much more generous. Unfortunately currently the stock routine is not very useful. I’m looking for another free provider.

I expect that for stock data I will implement a stock data EOD import routine and remove the API calls completely. This will probably occur after AC iOS 26 implementation for iPad/Mac/iPhone.

Note that not all screenshots show the new (from ver 1.93) CIT Analysis and Add Cit icons.

From ver 1.93 the date label for long-press over the financial chart is positioned at the top for a clearer view.

Note that if you have Aspect Hits calculated after the current date, ie now the graph will not be able to show any data, ie it will be empty.

Viewing aspects associated with the Stock/Crypto Data

To view aspects and sync an aspect date with the associated astro chart

1. Have an astro chart of the Stock, eg Rio Tinto or crypto data eg Bitcoin
2. Create an Aspect Hit table of hits by selecting the Lightning Strike button (top menu) and calculating some aspects. When exiting the Aspect Hit form the calculated aspects to the natal chart are saved. See here for an analysis of Bitcoin: Bitcoin
3. Select Full Landscape #6 – Finance, if not already selected.
4. Ensure the stock or crypto currency matches the astro chart. Tap Settings (Cogs) to change your data selection – see screenshot: Layout of Financial Chart menus above.
5. Tap the Lightning Strike button on the financial chart menu. The Aspect Hit table data is shown (just above the financial chart), and the aspect hits are drawn on the financial data chart – a vertical line and the aspect is shown (depending on the settings, of course). The aspect hit date is automatically sync’d to the astro chart. See the screenshot above: Aspect Hits for Rio Tinto, and the short animated GIF below
6. Tap an aspect in the Aspect Hit table. The financial chart will centre the data (using 30 days) to show the aspect more clearly, and the astro chart will automatically adjust to the date of the aspect. If eg, the aspect is a transit to a radical point, the chart will reflect this by changing (if necessary) to the appropriate bi-wheel. If the aspect is a transit to transit the chart will reflect this by changing (if necessary) to a single-wheel. The aspect grids will change according to the chart’s type, single or bi-wheel. Similarly for Sec. Progs, and SA directions.
7. Please note that with a long-press over either aspect grid (single-wheel chart the aspect grid is shown on the left, bi-wheel the aspect grid is shown on the right) the Aspect Table will pop-up which can be useful.

Resolving the problem of aspects that occur over a weekend for stock charts

Crypto currencies trade 24/7, stocks trade Monday to Friday, and don’t trade on some public holidays.

What if an astrological aspect occurs on a Saturday or Sunday? A vertical line and the corresponding aspect can not be shown to correspond with the stock data, as there isn’t any. How does AC resolve this dilemma? AC uses a simple algorithm: if an aspect occurs on Saturday or Sunday the aspect is shown as being exact on the Monday and the aspect’s vertical line is drawn to correspond with Mondays data. If no data exists because of say a public holiday and the exchange is shut that day then the aspect will not be shown. When analysing a chart against stock data this should be taken into account.

Caveat

Syncing Aspect Hits (by tapping an Aspect Hit date in the Aspect Hit table) is done by date only. The exact time an aspect occurs is not taken into account. It is possible to navigate to the exact time, if necessary, by using the time stepper, hours and minutes (next to the Time button).
