How to view Zodiacal Releasing from Spirit/Fortune (default view is ZR by Spirit)

POF = Part of Fortune

ZR can only be accessed from full landscape. Ensure that the POF, and POS are shown in the chart. A visual check: the Major Periods should start with the same zodiac sign as the POS is in, unless both are in the same sign as eg, John Kerry.

It is preferable/recommended to have the Parts/Lots set to Different Day/Night

Part of Marriage substituted for Part of Love (Eros)

The Part Of Marriage (POM) is extensively used by John Frawley in his books and Kindle ebooks and by kindred Traditional Astrologers. It is often used in relationship horary charts.

I’m taking an example from the excellent Kindle book Horary Examples: Traditional Horary Astrology By Example. The example horary is Will I be any happier if I leave him?

“Now let’s look at the Sun in its role as dispositor of the Part of Marriage. To calculate the POM we use the formula of Ascendant + Descendant – Venus. This gives us 131:15 degrees, which converts to 11:15 Leo; the Sun rules Leo, so the Sun signifies the marriage.”

Here’s the procedure to substitute the Part of Marriage (POM) for the Part of Eros/Love (POL):

Different Day/Night or Fixed setting

Note that this part is not affected by the Different Day/Night or Fixed Parts/Lots setting

When a traditional planet ( Sun – Saturn) eg Venus is removed from the chart display – see second screenshot, any part associated with Venus will be incorrectly calculated. The Part of Eros/Love (Venus’s position is used to calculate this part) would display incorrectly ie its position in the chart would be incorrect.
